Drivers Ed

I finally finished Drivers Ed after 9 classroom days, 3 observations, and 3 two hour road drives. Yes! I know I completely put off getting my license, but at least I can get it while I'm still 16 (there were people in my class who were 18 years old, and the oldest student my teacher has taught was a guy who was 63 years old). So, there you go. I'm really glad it's over with, but I'll miss my teacher, Margene, because she was hilarious, super nice, and occasionally took us to places like Iceberg to grab a ice-cream & fries. :)

~A Look Back on May~

Here is a quick look back on all the major events of May (since I lacked to blog about them when they actually took place in May).

Race 4 the Cure! (2009)

We had a huge celebration/surprise party for Kylee's Aunt & Sheli's Sister, Laurie, who is a breast cancer survivor. It was so fun and we got to stay over night at a hotel and help decorate! Sheli is so awesome for planning it!

Taylor Swift Concert!
(Sheli, Me, Kylee, Heather, Jayci, & Amanda)

Taylor Swift gave an amazing concert! She was so full of energy, and the entire show was very creative and wonderful. I was very lucky to be invited to go, since Kylee's mom won tickets on the radio and had an extra ticket.

Haley's 16th Birthday!
While Haley was working away at work, we (Amanda Barwick, Kylee, Amanda Miller, Krysten, and I) went over to Haley's house and with the help of her dad and brother, we managed to fill Haley's room floor to celling with balloons. (Which takes a very long time, and lots of air and patience to do.) It was totally worth every breath though. We hid under the balloons, and when Haley arrived home from work, we popped up and yelled, "Happy Birthday Haley!" It was so hilarious and fun!

"Come up to the Mountain!"

This was a celebration to celebrate the new Draper and Oquirrh Mountain temples. There were many different dances performed, ones for different cultures or historical events pertaining to Utah. I was in a 1920's baseball dance, but there were many other dances, and choir songs as well. Thousands of kids were involved. Overall it was very fun, although the practices were super long, it was worth it, but I'm glad that it's over now.

Happy Easter!

I hope you all had a Happy Easter! My Easter was pretty fun. I got a box of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, a pack of gum, some Reeses, and my siblings and I both got a new Wii game from the "Easter Bunny". Then, later on, my cousin and Aunt and Uncle came over for dinner. It was pretty yummy, so yeah! We hardly take pictures any more, but here's a Easter picture from quite a few years ago. Yep, you've gotta love Pringles!

Island Park Snowmobliling

(Derek, Dad, Ian, Mom, BJ, Aunt Traci, & Ashley) Snowmobiling was amazing! It is so much fun! I love it! So, this was the second year that we (my family, my cousin's family, and their friend BJ who is pretty much like a cousin too) went to Island Park, Idaho to go snowmobiling! I swear that I've never seen so much snow before in my life! And, did I mention that we stayed in a cabin that was bigger than my house and went on snowmobiling trips for hours at a time? Well, check out and enjoy my pictures and the captions!
We were all hanging out in the hot tub right before we decided to do something super stupid, but still way fun. (By the way, I do not know what's up with the look on my dad's face.) Yes, that's right, we decided to go from an 104 degree hot tub to the 30 degree snow which was at least 6ft. deep everywhere you went.
Do you see how the snow goes all the way up to my dad's butt?

It's a miracle that we didn't just melt straight though the snow because we were so hot. If we had, there would be no way you'd even see our heads.

My cousin Ian is being a total pansy in this picture. I mean, do you see the look on his face? Pathetic.

My dad started freaking out in this picture because he was obviously freezing cold and I was taking too long to take the picture.

And, this is a piece of ice that my mom found outside; she thought it was a perfect for the Phantom of the Opera mask.

Twilight DVD / Rachelle

This morning, at 12:01 a.m., Kylee and I purchased our copies of Twilight on DVD. Not only did we get copies of Twilight, but they were signed copies! Signed by Rachelle Lefevre! For those of you who don't know, Rachelle plays Victoria, who's one of the nomadic vampires in Twilight. Yes, that's right, we met her in person, got our movies and Twilight Companion books signed by her, we got to talk to her, and get pictures! It was very exciting. You might think that we may have gotten pretty bored in line, but actually we didn't. Kylee brought along her Twilight Board game that she received in the mail that day, and so we got to play that. We also painted our toe-nails and participated in games for prizes. Kylee and I both got Twilight door hangers and Kylee won a Twilight bracelet. And the people at Walmart gave us tons of food! Yummy! Kylee was even put in a drawing to win a TV because she dressed up like Rosalie. Yep, it was very fun! (Sorry, the picture of Kylee is fuzzy because it's from my phone.)
